Directors Award for Best Artist!

We went to watch the NYC marathon today as I had 4 amazing friends running. It really is a humbling experience to see so many people completing such an incredible feat! I came home to find an email from Linus Galleries telling me that I had been chosen for the "Directors Award for Best Artist" for my 2 paintings in their Nature exhibition so I'm feeling pretty pleased. A great weekend all round!

Nature Exhibition Video

We had a lovely weekend despite the unexpected early snow storm! We had friends from London staying and I also sold my 2 small water tower paintings that I posted on here last week. I have recently changed my schedule around and now have 4 whole week days free to paint for the first time ever so I'm hoping that means I'm going to be much more productive and also able to blog a little more frequently.

I found out yesterday that three of my paintings are going to be in the "Precious" small works exhibition at Soo Rye Art Gallery in Rye, New Hampshire which opens on November 19th which is good news! Also, Linus Gallery in Pasadena have just posted up a video of the Nature exhibition that finished last week - Click HERE to see the video and spot my paintings!

First Juried Exhibition!

I have just found out that I have been accepted into my first juried show! Two of my flower series paintings are going to be shown in a show themed "Nature" at the Linus Gallery in Pasadena, California. I'm so excited to be in my first group exhibition I still can't quite believe it. It's really boosted my confidence, finally something else to put on my resume under "exhibitions"! The show opens on Saturday the 22nd October and the gallery is open by appointment after that. Now I just have to figure out how to get the paintings there...
